Sangihe, VivaSulut.com—Menjelang Hari Perhubungan Nasional (Harhubnas) ke-53, Kantor Unit Penyelenggara Pelabuhan (UPP) Kelas IIB Tahuna mengumumkan rencana perayaan pada 17 September 2024 dengan mengusung tema ‘Transportasi Maju, Nusantara Baru’. Kegiatan ini bertujuan mendorong perkembangan sektor transportasi, khususnya di Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe.
Koordinator Sosial Media Response Team (SMRT) UPP Kelas II B Tahuna, Meifrid Palenewen, mengungkapkan bahwa perayaan Harhubnas tahun ini akan melibatkan berbagai sektor, termasuk Dinas Perhubungan Laut, Darat, dan Udara. Acara ini tidak hanya menjadi momen refleksi bagi insan perhubungan, tetapi juga kesempatan untuk mendorong peningkatan mutu pelayanan di sektor transportasi.
“Untuk sektor laut, kami telah banyak berkolaborasi dengan rekan-rekan insan perhubungan lainnya. Tema ‘Transportasi Maju, Nusantara Baru’ dipilih dengan harapan dapat mendorong perkembangan transportasi di Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe,” kata Palenewen.
Ia menambahkan bahwa peningkatan pelayanan dan mutu transportasi laut menjadi fokus utama dalam mendukung perekonomian dan mobilitas di wilayah tersebut.
Lebih lanjut, Palenewen mengajak masyarakat untuk turut memberikan masukan yang konstruktif guna mendukung pengembangan transportasi laut di masa mendatang. Masukan dari masyarakat diharapkan dapat membantu UPP Tahuna dalam menciptakan layanan transportasi yang lebih baik dan efisien.
Disentil terkait komitmen Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Laut dalam mendukung perekonomian di wilayah perbatasan, Palenewen menegaskan bahwa pihaknya terus berupaya menyediakan sarana dan prasarana maritim yang diperlukan oleh pemerintah daerah dan masyarakat. Salah satu bentuk komitmen tersebut adalah menjaga kestabilan harga barang melalui transportasi laut yang andal.
“Kami berkomitmen penuh mendukung program pemerintah Kabupaten Sangihe, khususnya dalam pengembangan sektor transportasi laut, demi memajukan daerah dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat,” tutup Palenewen. (nie)
