CEO Climate Talks Sebut PLN Siap Dukung Pemerintah Capai 75% Energi Terbarukan hingga Tahun 2040

Manado, VivaSulut.com — PT PLN (Persero) menegaskan kesiapannya untuk mendukung visi swasembada energi dengan meningkatkan pemanfaatan energi terbarukan sebesar 75% hingga tahun 2040. Langkah strategis ini selaras dengan upaya pemerintah menjangkau pertumbuhan ekonomi 8% yang dicanangkan Presiden Prabowo Subianto.

Utusan Khusus Presiden Republik Indonesia dalam Conference of the Parties (COP) 29, Hashim Djojohadikusumo menyatakan, di bawah kepemimpinan Presiden Prabowo Subianto, Indonesia berkomitmen penuh mengurangi emisi karbon lewat transisi energi. Oleh sebab itu, pemerintah berupaya menyelaraskan sumber daya dan seluruh kebijakan ke dalam strategi transisi energi yang efektif dan efisien.

”Transisi energi bukan hanya tentang mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca, tetapi juga tentang menyeimbangkan pertumbuhan dengan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Indonesia akan mencapai energi bersih, hijau, dan terjangkau, sambil mempercepat pertumbuhan ekonomi 8%,” tegas Hashim dalam CEO Climate Talks COP29 dengan tema “Enhancing Ambition on Renewable Energy” di Baku, Azerbaijan, Senin (11/11/2024).

Hashim menerangkan bahwa hingga tahun 2040, Indonesia siap meningkatkan bauran energi terbarukan sebesar 75 gigawatt (GW) yang berasal dari pembangkit listrik hidro, geotermal, bioenergi, surya, dan angin. Untuk menyukseskan target ambisius ini, Indonesia setidaknya membutuhkan investasi senilai USD235 miliar, termasuk untuk membangun jalur transmisi hijau sepanjang 70 ribu kilometer sirkuit (kms) yang membentang dari barat hingga timur Indonesia.

”Perubahan iklim global membutuhkan solusi global. Tidak ada satu negara pun yang bisa menghadapi dan menyelesaikan masalah ini sendirian. Satu-satunya cara untuk maju adalah melalui kolaborasi antarnegara. Saya yakin kita bisa melakukan ini, bukan hanya karena perjanjian lingkungan internasional seperti Protokol Kyoto dan Perjanjian Paris, tetapi karena kita benar-benar peduli untuk memastikan masa depan yang lebih baik bagi generasi mendatang,” tambah Hashim.

Direktur Utama PLN, Darmawan Prasodjo, menegaskan komitmen PLN untuk mendukung target Pemerintah Indonesia dalam mencapai pertumbuhan ekonomi 8% melalui swasembada energi yang berkelanjutan. Dalam hal ini, PLN telah menyiapkan peta jalan yang konkret serta terus memperluas kolaborasi dengan mitra lokal dan global.

Saat ini PLN, kata Darmawan, tengah merancang ulang usulan Rencana Usaha Penyediaan Tenaga Listrik (RUPTL), di mana hingga tahun 2040, PLN akan menambah 100 GW energi listrik yang mayoritas bersumber dari energi terbarukan.

”Pak Hashim sudah mengumumkan bahwa 75% atau sekitar 75 GW dari kapasitas tambahan tersebut berasal dari pembangkit energi terbarukan. Artinya, ke depan kami akan mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca melalui penambahan pembangkit berbasis energi terbarukan yang berasal dari tenaga air sebesar 25 GW, surya 27 GW, angin sebesar 15 GW, panas bumi 6 GW, dan bioenergy 1 GW,” ucap Darmawan.

Darmawan menjabarkan, bahwa untuk mencapai target 75% energi terbarukan tersebut, PLN akan membangun Green Enabling Transmission Line sepanjang 70 ribu kms untuk mengalirkan sumber energi terbarukan yang mayoritas berada di daerah terisolir ke pusat demand.

Selain itu, PLN juga telah merancang pengembangan smart grid guna mengatasi intermitensi pada pembangkit energi terbarukan, sehingga energi bersih yang dihasilkan dari pembangkit tersebut bisa masuk ke dalam sistem PLN secara stabil.

”Kami perlu membangun pembangkit listrik yang fleksibel. Kami perlu membangun smart grid, smart transmission, smart control center, dan smart distribution. Tanpa smart grid, kami hanya bisa menambah 5 GW. Tetapi dengan smart grid, kami bisa menambah pembangkit angin dan surya hingga 42 GW, sehingga kami bisa menyeimbangkan antara suplai listrik dan permintaan,” tambah Darmawan.

Darmawan juga menekankan bahwa berbagai inisiatif tersebut membutuhkan biaya yang tidak sedikit. Untuk itu, pihaknya terus menggalang kolaborasi guna menyukseskan transisi energi dalam mewujudkan swasembada energi berkelanjutan di tanah air.

”Indonesia, bersama dengan negara-negara lain, harus bekerja sama dalam merumuskan strategi, inovasi teknologi, dan investasi untuk mencapai tujuan bersama. Kolaborasi, baik antara investor domestik, regional, maupun internasional, menjadi kunci untuk mencapai target besar ini,” pungkas Darmawan.
