Maurits Mantiri Tampil di Kampanye Geraldi – Erwin, Tangkal Hoax dan Luruskan Informasi

Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Ketua DPC PDI Perjuangan Kota Bitung, Maurits Mantiri tampil di kampanye pasangan calon (Paslon) Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota Bitung, Geraldi Mantiri-Erwin Wurangian, Jumat (11/10/2024).

Maurits juga tampil berorasi menyampaikan alasan dirinya cuti sebagai Wali Kota Bitung dan hadir berkampanye di Paslon nomor urut 1 yang digelar di Batuputih Atas dan Batuputih Bawah Kecamatan Rowulu.

“Saya turun berkampanye karena melihat banyak hoax yang disebarkan oleh pihak-pihak tertentu. Penyebaran hoax ini kalau dibiarkan bisa berakibat fatal, salah satunya bisa membodohi masyarakat,” kata Maurits.

Maurits menyampaikan sejumlah kabar bohong yang beredar di publik akhir-akhir ini. Kabar-kabar tersebut terindikasi berasal dari lawan politik Geraldi-Erwin, yang tujuannya tidak lain untuk menjatuhkan kredibilitas dan elektabilitas pasangan muda itu.

“Salah satunya adalah pernyataan soal orang Sangihe tidak layak jadi pemimpin di Kota Bitung. Itu jelas salah. Sebab buktinya saya. Saya punya darah Sangihe dan sekarang saya menjabat Wali Kota,” katanya.

Kabar bohong selanjutnya yang disentil adalah terkait program yang berhubungan dengan layanan Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) Kesehatan. Program andalan Pemkot Bitung yang berhubungan dengan itu, yakni Universal Health Coverage (UHC), dianggap tidak benar oleh penyebar hoax.

“Mereka bilang kalau hanya pakai KTP tidak bisa dilayani. Ternyata bisa. Sekarang semua masyarakat Kota Bitung bisa mendapatkan pelayanan kesehatan gratis hanya dengan menunjukan KTP. Ini terjadi karena pembayaran iuran layanan BPJS masyarakat sudah saya anggarkan dalam APBD. Jadi semuanya gratis karena sudah dibayar Pemkot Bitung,” jelasnya.

Masih soal layanan BPJS Kesehatan, dalam kesempatan itu Maurits sempat menjawab pertanyaan masyarakat yang hadir dalam kampanye. Warga bernama Karlina Masala menanyakan soal kabar Pemkot Bitung akan menghentikan pembayaran iuran layanan BPJS Kesehatan.

“Itu juga hoax. Saya tidak pernah berpikir menghentikan program itu karena sudah jadi bagian dari komitmen iman saya ketika terpilih sebagai Walikota. Jadi saya pastikan program itu akan tetap berlanjut sampai saya selesai. Dan kedepan jika mereka berdua yang terpilih (Geraldi -Erwin,red), saya bisa memberikan masukan untuk meneruskan program itu,” katanya.

Dalam kampanye itu, hadir juga Sekretaris DPC PDI Perjuangan Kota Bitung, Aldo Nova Ratungalo, Sekretaris DPD II Partai Golkar Kota Bitung, Karel Tumuju serta sejumlah kader PDI Perjuangan dan Partai Golkar, juga Manajer Kampanye Geraldi-Erwin, Santy Gerald Luntungan.
