Manado, VivaSulut.com – Kota Bitung, Provinsi Sulawesi Utara, dipercayakan menjadi tuan rumah pelaksanaan Festival HAM yang akan digelar pada 29 sampai 31 Juli mendatang.
Terkait hal ini, Wakil Gubernur Sulawesi Utara, Steven Kandouw melakukan audiens dengan panitia pelaksana, Rabu (5/6/2024) di Kantor Gubernur.
Dalam pertemuan tersebut, Wagub Steven Kandouw menyatakan dukungan Pemerintah Provinsi Sulawesi Utara akan suksesnya Festival HAM.
Pemerintah Kabupaten/Kota di Sulut juga diimbau untuk turut memeriahkan gelaran di Kota Cakalang itu.
Selain itu, Wagub Steven meminta agar unsur anak muda lebih dilibatkan dalam kegiatan ini.
Deputi V Kepala Staf Kepresidenan, Rumadi Ahmad, menyampaikan apresiasi atas dukungan Pemerintah Provinsi Sulut.
Dia menjelaskan Kota Bitung dipilih sebagai tuan rumah dari berbagai penilaian, termasuk dari aspek kerukunan dam toleransi antar umat beragama.
“Meskipun kami tahu di setiap tempat ada masalah tali bagaimana Pemerintah Kabupaten Kota menangani masalah itu,” tukasnya.
