Penghargaan Maurist Mantiri ke Mantan Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota Bitung

Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Wali Kota Bitung, Maurits Mantiri memimpin ziarah ke makan sejumlah mantan wali kota dan wakil wali kota.

Ziarah itu digelar jelang HUT ke-34 Kota Bitung yang diikuti pejabat Pemkot Bitung, Senin (7/10/2024).

Maurits menyampaikan, ziarah dilakukan bukan hanya sekedar agenda seremonial jelang HUT Kota Bitung, tapi sebagai pentuk penghormatan kepada para mantan wali kota dan wakil wali kota yang telah berpulang.

“Mereka punya jasa membangun kota ini, sehingga ziara adalah bentuk mengenang dan penghormatan kepada para Almarhum,” kata Maurits.

Menurutnya, jasa berupa program yang pernah dijalankan oleh para Almarhum, banyak yang diadobsi oleh dirinya dalam menjalankan pemerintahan serta mensejahterakan masyarakat.

Bahkan, Maurits mengaku masih aktif menjalin komunikasi dengan keluarga-keluarga Almarhum sebagai bentuk penghormatan dan tidak melupakan jasa mereka.

“Jangan melupakan sejarah dan para mantan wali kota dan wakil yang telah berpulang jangan sekali-kali kita lupakan,” katanya.

Sementara itu, menurut Juru Bicara Pemkot Bitung, Albert Sergius, ziarah dibagi dalam lima tim. Tim I melakukan ziarah ke makam Alm Wempie Alexander Worang dan Alm Robert K Lahindo,

Tim II ziarah ke makam Alm Milton Kansil dan Alm Hanny Sondakh, Tim III ziara ke makan Alm Max Lumintan dan Tim IV ziarah ke makam Alm Karel Lasut Senduk serta Alm Kol Pur Kornelius Supit.

“Tim V ziarah ke makam Alm Sinyo Harry Sarundajang,” kata Albert.
