Delegasi Guangzhou mengadopsi teknologi canggih termasuk kecerdasan buatan untuk smart city dan digital tourism serta bagaimana teknologi dikembangkan dalam teknologi transportasi, keamanan publik, dan lingkungan hidup dan manufaktur.

“Mereka menjelaskan teknologi yang digunakan dalam pembangunan kota, serta bagaimana teknologi tersebut dapat diterapkan untuk mendorong perkembangan yang luar biasa. Diharapkan daerah-daerah yang terdaftar sebagai anggota UCLG ASPAC dapat belajar dari perkembangan Kota Guangzhou,” kata Sekretaris Jenderal UCLG ASPAC Bernadia Tjandra Dewi, pada Rabu (5/6/2024).

Pada ULCG ASPAC, Committe on the Belt and Road Local Cooperation (BRLC) Comittee Meeting and Presentation, para delegasi Guangzhou mengundang seluruh anggota UCLG ASPAC untuk datang berkunjung dan melihat perkembangan Kota Guangzhou secara langsung, meningkatkan strategi pembangunan kota, termasuk cara membangun komunitas dengan memanfaatkan teknologi modern.

“Pertemuan ini saya pikir akan membuka peluang untuk bertukar informasi dan bekerja sama dengan pemerintah lokal di Guangzhou. Dengan demikian, anggota UCLG ASPAC dapat mengadopsi praktik-praktik terbaik dan mengikuti perkembangan terbaru di Guangzhou,” ujar Bernadia.

Hari pertama Executive Meeting Bureau UCLG ASPAC, Rabu (5/6/2024) diikuti 309 peserta dari 10 negara, di antaranya Tiongkok, Filipina, Nepal, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Pakistan, Kambola, Korea Selatan, Indonesia.

Executive Meeting Bureau UCLG ASPAC 2024 mengangkat tema ‘Enhancing Sustainable Tourism and Creative Economy through Asia-Pacific Collaboration’.

Beberapa poin yang dibahas yaitu Pengembangan Pariwisata Berkelanjutan dan Pengelolaan Destinasi, Peningkatan Keterlibatan dan Partisipasi Masyarakat dalam Pariwisata Berkelanjutan,  Revitalisasi Pedesaan-perkotaan untuk Mendukung Pariwisata Berkelanjutan dan Ekonomi Kreatif, Pemanfaatan Pengembangan Ekonomi Biru untuk Pariwisata Berkelanjutan dan Ekonomi Kreatif, serta Pemanfaatan Transformasi Digital dan Teknologi untuk Pengembangan Pariwisata.

Kecamatan Likupang Timur, Minahasa Utara, merupakan lokasi pertama pelaksanaan Executive Meeting Bureau di wilayah rural.

“Biasanya kita melakukan rapat bersama di daerah urban yang ramai, namun baru kali ini kita agak menepi dan menurut kami ini sangat menarik. Walaupun perjalanan jauh tapi worth it. Seafood enak. Saya pikir ini hari pertama yang mengesankan,” kata Bernadia.

Kelapa Genjah JG 

Pelaksanaan Executive Meeting Bureau UCLG ASPAC, ikut membuka banyak peluang ekonomi daerah.

Di hari pertama rapat bersama delegasi 10 negara, Rabu (5/6/2024), Bupati Minahasa Utara Joune Ganda mendapat kesempatan untuk berdiskusi dengan delegasi Vietnam terkait teknologi pertanian buah kelapa.

Salah satu yang diperkenalkan Joune Ganda yaitu potensi komoditas kelapa, khususnya kelapa varietas Kelapa Genjah Jingga Ganda (Genjah JG) yang menjadi salah satu komoditas unggulan di Minahasa Utara.

Atas inovasi tersebut, Joune Ganda menerima tanda kehormatan Satyalancana Wira Karya dari Presiden RI Joko Widodo, yang diserahkan Menteri Pertanian Syahrul Yasin Limpo di sela-sela pembukaan Penas VXI Petani Nelayan Indonesia di Padang, Sumatera Barat, Sabtu (10/6/2023) silam.

Adapun kelapa Genjah JG memiliki ciri khas tinggi 5 meter dengan durasi pertumbuhan selama 3,5 tahun sebelum panen dan jumlah produksi buah yang berkali lipat dibanding tanaman kelapa varietas lainnya.

Varietas Kelapa Genjah JG ditetapkan pada 11 November 2022 oleh Menteri Pertanian Republik Indonesia menandatangan surat keputusan (SK) Kelapa Genjah JG, melalui surat Nomor: 102 /KPTS/KB.020/11/2022 tentang Penetapan Kebun Blok Penghasil Tinggi dan Pohon Induk Terpilih Kelapa Genjah Unggul Lokal Jingga Ganda di Kabupaten Minahasa Provinsi Sulawesi Utara.

Sementara itu, Wakil Bupati Kevin Lotulung menegaskan komitmen pemerintah daerah untuk terus mengembangkan komoditas kelapa ini melalui program dan kebijakan yang mendukung para petani lokal.

“Langkah-langkah ini menunjukkan keseriusan pemerintah dalam memajukan sektor pertanian, khususnya dalam pengembangan kelapa jenis Genjah JG, yang diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat ekonomis yang signifikan bagi masyarakat setempat,” kata Kevin Lotulung.

Delegasi dari Vietnam memberikan apresiasi atas potensi besar Minahasa Utara dalam sektor komoditas kelapa dan pengembangan varietas Genjah JG

Vietnam dan Indonesia, merupakan dua negara anggota International Coconut Community (ICC).
