Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Nama Wali Kota Bitung, Maurits Mantiri disebut dalam perayaan Dies Natalis ke-62 Gerakan Angkatan Muda Kristen Indonesia (GAMKI) 2024.

Perayaan digelar di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia, Senin (27/5/2024) lalu dan nama Maurits disebut saat pembacaan GAMKI Award 2024.

Menurut Sekretaris Umum DPP GAMKI, Alan Christian Singkali, penghargaan diberikan kepada sebelas kategori figur inspiratif melalui apresiasi bertajuk GAMKI Award.

”Kami menghaturkan GAMKI Award untuk mengingat bahwa terdapat orang-orang yang senantiasa memberikan inspirasi yang bekerja di tengah-tengah masyarakat sesuai bidang keahliannya, dan utamanya yang memberikan manfaat kepada masyarakat umum,” kata Alan dalam rilisnya, Minggu (2/6/2024).

Alan menambahkan, GAMKI berupaya meneladani orang-orang tersebut dengan terlebih dahulu memberikan apresiasi setinggi-tingginya atas dedikasi, spirit, dan prestasi yang sudah ditorehkan, terutama mereka yang selama ini bekerja dalam senyap.

Mewakili penerima penghargaan, Lamtiar Simorangkir menyampaikan apresiasinya atas GAMKI Award ini.

”Saya kaget saat dihubungi untuk menerima penghargaan ini. Apa yang saya lakukan belum terlalu signifikan, tapi penghargaan ini mengingatkan saya untuk terus berkarya dan menginspirasi banyak orang,” kata sutradara dan penulis skenario film itu.

Lamtiar mengungkapkan, ia memiliki komunitas filmmaker untuk mengangkat isu-isu penting di masyarakat, seperti terkait cerita tentang narapidana hamil serta anak-anak yang dibesarkan di penjara.

”Semoga film-film ini bisa menjadi tempat diskusi yang aman untuk perbaikan bangsa dan negara. Kami ingin generasi muda, apapun latar belakang dan pekerjaan kita, untuk bisa berkontribusi terhadap negara yang kita cintai sekecil apapun. Semoga GAMKI terus melaju membangun bangsa dan negara kita,” urai Lamtiar.

Pada kesempatan yang sama, Ketua Umum DPP GAMKI, Sahat Sinurat menyatakan, GAMKI Award diberikan sebagai penghormatan kepada para senior dan kawan lintas agama yang aktif memberikan inspriasi di setiap bidang layanan.

Menurut Sahat, dengan penghargaan GAMKI Award ini kita bisa memahami banyak sekali figur-figur yang banyak melakukan pembaharuan dan perubahan di berbagai bidang. Mereka ini terus berusaha dan bergerak dalam jalan diam, jarang terliput hiruk-pikuk media, tapi terus memberi inspirasi sesuai talenta masing-masing.

”Inilah yang bisa kami berikan sehingga para penerima GAMKI Award bisa terus memberikan inspirasi, dan kita yang lain bisa mengerjakan karya-karya dan menuliskan sejarah sesuai talenta yang diberikan Tuhan,” ungkap Sahat.

Dies Natalis GAMKI dihadiri berbagai tokoh seperti Deputi Bidang Koordinasi Kesatuan Bangsa Kemenko Polhukam Janedjri M. Gaffar,. mantan Ketua Umum GAMKI Sahat Sinaga dan Dating Palembangan, Ketua DPD GAMKI Kalimantan Barat Jeffray Edward, Ketua Umum Majelis Sinode GPIB Pendeta Paulus Kariso Rumambi, Pendeta Saut Sirait, Johny Nelson Simanjuntak, Ketua Umum Pewarna Yusuf Mujiono, serta rekan-rekan organisasi kepemudaan lain.
