Dibuka Wagub Steven Kandouw, Belasan Universitas se-Sulut Unjuk Bakat di Peksimida Sulut 2024

Wagub Steven Kandouw memukul tetenkoreng sebagai tanda dibukanya PEKSIMIDA 2024 di Sulawesi Utara.

Manado, VivaSulut.com – Pekan Seni Mahasiswa Daerah di Sulawesi Utara atau Peksimida 2024, dimulai Selasa (21/5/2024).

Kegiatan tersebut dibuka langsung Wakil Gubernur Sulawesi Utara, Steven Kandouw di Auditorium Universitas Sam Ratulangi (Unsrat) Manado.

Peksimida 2024 diikuti 12 perguruan tinggi di Sulawesi Utara, dan diawali dengan parade kontingen.

Wagub Steven Kandouw dalam sambutan menuturkan tentang trilogi cipta, rasa dan karsa yang muaranya pada peradaban dunia.

Menurutnya untuk mengukur peradaban dunia 75 persen adalah seninya atau jadi dengan kata lain seni mencerminkan kebudayaan masyarakat setempat.

Namun belajar dari masa lalu, seni juga bisa disalahgunakan dan menjadi alat propaganda.

“Seni itu menjadi parameter peradaban, tapi seni juga jangan disalahgunakan,” ucapnya.

Steven Kandouw mengajak para peserta untuk menjadikan ajang ini sebagai wadah memajukan seni budaya dan peradaban.

Dia mengatakan Pemerintah Provinsi Sulawesi Utara di bawah kepemimpinan Gubernur Olly Dondokambey dan Wagub Steven Kandouw, saat ini fokus dalam pengembangan medical tourism (pariwisata kesehatan) serta pendidikan.

“Mudah-mudahan kalau Tuhan berikan kesempatan, ke depan di bidang kebudayaan torang jadikan Sulawesi Utara juga jadi pusat kebudayaan nasional,” kata Wagub.

Dia kemudian secara resmi membuka kegiatan sekaligus menyatakan dukungan suksesnya Peksimida 2024 lewat pemukulan tetenkoreng.

Pemenang Peksimida tingkat provinsi nantinya akan mewakili Provinsi Sulawesi Utara dalam ajang Pekan Seni Mahasiswa Nasional (Peksiminas) di Jakarta pada September 2024 mendatang.

Turut hadir Rektor Unsrat, Oktovian Berty Alexander Sompie dan jajaran serta perwakilan Perguruan Tinggi dan mahasiswa kontingen Peksimida.

Adapun lomba-lomba dalam Peksimida Sulut 2024 sebagai berikut:

3. Menyanyi Keroncong Perorangan (Putra Putri)
4. Menyanyi Pop Perorangan (Putra Putri)

6. Baca Puisi Perorangan (Putra Putri)
7. Monolog (Perorangan)
8. Tari (Grup)
9. Penulisan Cerpen (Perorangan)
10. Penulisan Lakon (Perorangan)
11. Penulisan Puisi (Perorangan)
12. Desain Media Kampanye Sosial (Perorangan)
13. Lukis (Perorangan)
14. Komik Strip (Perorangan)
15. Fotografi (Perorangan)
