Gunung Ruang Kembali Erupsi, Bandara Sam Ratulangi Manado Tutup Sementara Hingga 1 Mei

Manado, VivaSulut.com – Baru saja beroperasi, aktifitas penerbangan di Bandara Sam Ratulangi harus kembali ditutup akibat Gunung Ruang yang kembali erupsi, Selasa (30/4/2024).

Pekan kemarin, bandara internasional yang terletak di Manado, Sulawesi Utara itu juga sempat tutup selama lima hari karena erupsi Gunung Ruang di Kabupaten Kepulauan Sitaro.

Penutupan operasional bandara sementara akibat sebaran abu vulkanik Gunung Ruang tertuang dalam Notice to AirMen atau Notam Nomor A1148/24 NOTAMR A1144/24.

Notam bakal diperpanjang kembali apabila kondisi akibat sebaran abu vulkanik Gunung Ruang belum membaik.

Terkini, bandara ditutup sementara hingga Rabu (1/5/2024) jam 12.00 Wita.

Kepala Kantor Otoritas Bandar Udara Wilayah VIII Manado, Ambar Suryoko mengatakan, sedikitnya ada 18 penerbangan yang dibatalkan akibat erupsi Gunung Ruang.

“Saat ini terdapat 18 penerbangan yang terdampak mengalami pembatalan atau cancel dengan jumlah penumpang 1.745 penumpang serta 9 pesawat yang di-grounded,” kata Ambar, Selasa, (30/4/2024).

Adapun di Bandara Sam Ratulangi saat ini dipenuhi penumpang yang gagal terbang.

Ambar Suryoko mengimbau agar maskapai penerbangan memberikan kompensasi kepada penumpang yang sudah memiliki tiket perjalanan.

Calon penumpang terdampak karena penutupan operasional bandara dapat memilih opsi full refund, reschedule, ataupun re-route ke bandara terdekat.

Ambar menjelaskan, kejadian erupsi Gunung Ruang ini merupakan situasi force majeure.

Sebagai pedoman pelaksanaan penanganan force majeure, termasuk yang terjadi pada erupsi Gunung Ruang, Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Udara Kementerian Perhubungan tekah menerbitkan Surat Edaran Nomor 15 Tahun 2019 tentang Pelaksanaan Penerbangan pada Keadaan Force Majeure, serta Keputusan Direktur Jenderal Perhubungan Udara Nomor KP 153 Tahun 2019 tentang Tata Cara dan Prosedur Collaborative Decision Making Penanganan Dampak abu Vulkanik terhadap Operasi Penerbangan melalui Integrated Web Based Aeronautical Information System Handling atau I-WISH.
