Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Gerakan Mahasiswa Nasional Indonesia (GMNI) Kota Bitung sukses menggelar Konferensi Cabang (Konfercab), Sabtu (28/12/2024).

Konfercab itu dirangkaikan dengan Kaderisasi Tingkat Dasar (KTD) dengan menghadirkan Wasekjen DPP GMNI, Sarinah Melisa Tarandung serta sejumlah kader senior seperti Bung Alfian Alow.

Konfercab dan KTD digelar di Hotel Singgsana Keluragan Girian Indah Kecamatan Girian selama dua hari, yakni 28-29 Desember 2024.

Dalam Konfercab itu, Nabiel Hasjim terpilih sebagai Ketua GMNI Kota Bitung yang sebelumnya mendapat mandat sebagai Karateker Ketua GMNI Kota Bitung.

Nabiel menyampaikan, dasar menggelar Konfercab adalah turunnya SK Kareteker dari DPP GMNI yang salah satu poinnya memberikan mandat untuk segera mempersiapkan serta melasanakan agenda Konfercab GMNI Kota Bitung.

“Adapun yang menjadi peserta sidang Konfercab terdiri dari Komisariat Manajemen STIE Petra, Komisariat Akuntansi STIE Petra, Komisariat STBM ditambah peninjau dari STISIP Merdeka,” kata Nabiel.

Melisa saat membuka Konfercab berharap kader GMNI Kota Bitung tetap menjadi alat kontrol sosial bagi pemerintah dan masyarakat.

Sehingga, kata dia, agenda Konfercab bukan hanya formalitas belaka tapi menjadi ajang melahirkan pemimpin berwatak progresif revolusioner, yang mampu membawa para kader GMNI untuk membela kaum tertindas.

“Ingat GMNI bukan organisasi arisan tetapi organisasi pergerakan yang siap turun ke jalan,” kata Melisa.

Kader GMNI, kata Melisa, juga harus berani bersuara, menyuarakan ketimpangan serta ketidakadilan bagi masyarakat. Untuk itu, dibutuhkan kader-kader yang vokal membela kepentingan kaum lemah.

“Jika takut bersuara atau menggelar aksi, jangan menjadi kader GMNI. Kader GMNI selalu menjadi garda terdepan menyuarakan ketimpangan di tengah masyarakat,” katanya.

Adapun agenda KTD menghadirkan pemateri dari DPP GMNI, DPD GMNI Sulut dan para alumni GMNI Kota Bitung.

Kegiatan ini juga dihadiri Ketua DPD GMNI Sulut, mahasiswa dari kampus se-Kota Bitung, Alumni GMNI Kota Bitung dan pengurus cipayung yakni Ketua GMKI Kota Bitung.
