Manado, VivaSulut.com – Masyarakat Kota Manado dibuat terkejut dengan kabar tenggelamnya seorang pemuda di Pantau Bahu Mall, Kota Manado, Kamis, (19/12/2024), sekitar pukul 08.00 Wita.
Korban bernama Noel Lasut (18), warga Desa Sea Jaga I, Kecamatan Pineleng, Kabupaten Minahasa, dilaporkan tenggelam saat berenang pantai Bahu Mall Manado.
Setelah dilakukan pencarian, jenazah korban ditemukan Jumat (20/12/2024), dalam keadaan meninggal dunia.
“Jenazah ditemukan sekitar 10 meter dari lokasi kejadian pada pukul 11.00 Wita,” ujar Kepala Kantor Pencarian dan Pertolongan Kelas A Manado, George Randang, mengonfirmasi penemuan tersebut.
“Kami Tim sar gabungan terdiri dari Basarnas Polairud Brimob Rapi dan potensi lain telah menemukan korban dalam keadaan meninggal dunia dan segera melakukan evakuasi ke Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara untuk proses lebih lanjut sebelum dibawa ke rumah duka,” tambah George Randang.
Dengan ditemukannya korban, pihak Kantor Pencarian dan Pertolongan Kelas A Manado resmi menutup operasi pencarian.
“Kami mengucapkan terima kasih kepada seluruh pihak yang telah membantu selama proses pencarian ini,” tutupnya.
Informasi yang dihimpun, kronologi musibah ini bermula saat korban Noel Lasut dan teman-temannya berkumpul di area pantai pada Rabu (18/12/2024) malam.
Pada Kamis pagi hari, tepatnya pukul 08.00 Wita, korban bersama teman-temannya kemudian berenang.
Sayangnya, aktivitas tersebut berujung pada peristiwa tragis di mana korban hanyut dan tenggelam.
Setelah beberapa jam dilakukan pencarian tapi tidak membuahkan hasil, masyarakat setempat kemudian melaporkan kejadian tersebut kepada SAR Manado.
Tim Rescue Kantor SAR Manado segera merespons laporan tersebut dan berangkat menuju lokasi kejadian pada pukul 11.05 WITA.
Tim Basarnas melakukan pencarian dengan cara menyelam, menurunkan empat personel penyelam dan penggunaan alat-alat untuk pencarian dan pertolongan.
