Lahan Perkemahan Pramuka Bitung Ketambahan Dua Hektar

Lahan Perkemahan Pramuka Kota Bitung di Kelurahan Batuputih Atas.

Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Lahan Perkemahan Pramuka Kota Bitung ketambahan dua hektar dari luas sebelumnya sebanyak tujuh hektar.

Ketambahan lahan itu berkat lobi Wali Kota Bitung, Maurits Mantiri ke PT Meares Soputan Mining (PT MSM) untuk memperluas lokasi Perkemahan Pramuka di Kleurahan Batuputih Atas Kecamatan Ranowulu.

Menurut Juru Bicara Pemkot Bitung, Albert Sergius, lahan Perkemahan Pramuka yang sebelumnya bakal dipindahkan ke wilayah Kelurahan Danowudu Kecamatan Ranowulu urung dilakukan.

“Sebelumnya sudah ada kesepatakan dengan PT MSM untuk memindahkan lokasi Perkemahan Pramuka dari Kelurahan Batuputih ke Kelurahan Danowudu, namun itu urung dilakukan,” kata Albert, Sabtu (21/12/2024).

Mengetahui rencana pemindahan lokasi tidak jadi, kata Albert, Wali Kota melobi pimpinan PT MSM agar luasan lahan Perkemahan Pramuka di Kelurahan Batuputih ditambah dua hektar.

“Pihak PT MSM menyetujui menyumbangkan lahan dua hektar untuk lokasi Perkemahan Pramuka. Jadi kini total luas lahan Perkemahan Pramuka menjadi sembilan hektar,” katanya.

Lahan Perkemahan Pramuka Kota Bitung ini sendiri sudah beberapa tahun disiapkan Pemkot Bitung untuk keperluan kegiatan Pramuka. Rencananya, di lokasi ini bakal dibangun berbagai fasilitas menyangkut kegiatan Pramuka, termasuk lokasi perkemahan seperti di Bumi Perkemahan Cibubur.
