Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Wali Kota Bitung, Maurits Mantiri mengaku bangga karena Kota Bitung menjadi tempat launching makan bergizi menu ikan dari Kementrian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP) RI, Jumat (13/12/2024).
Launching program makan bergizi gratis ini digelar Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) Kota Bitung Jalan 46 Kelurahan Paceda Kecamatan Madidir dihadiri Dirjen Penguatan Daya Saing Produk Kelautan dan Perikanan KKP RI, Budi Sulistiyo.
“Dengan adanya launching makan bergizi menu ikan di Kota Bitung dalam rangka bakti sosial Hari Nusantara 2024, oleh Kementerian KP buat kami bergembira karena Kota Bitung kota perikanan,” kata Maurits.
Terkait dengan Kota Bitung kota Perikanan, Maurits menyatakan dari 14 pabrik ikan kaleng di Indonesia, tujuh di antaranya ada di Kota Bitung Sulut.
Sehingga, jika menggunakan patokan dan ukuran Kota Bitung miliki sumber atau bahan untuk makanan bergizi menu ikan, itu sudah tepat.
“Program pemberian makanan bergizi menu ikan gratis dari Presiden Prabowo Subianto, harus dilakukan dengan ceria,” katanya.
Maurits juga menyampaikan profil singkat jumlah kelurahan di Kota Bitung ada 68, delapan Kecamatan dan 1.000 RT.
“250 ribu jumlah penduduk dan jumlah siswa dari Paud hingga SMA hampir 30 ribu orang,” katanya.
Budi menambahkan, apa yang dilakukan di Kota Bitung adalah uji coba bersama program Presiden Prabowo Subianto makan bergizi.
Sampai hari ini, kata dia, total di seluruh Indonesia sudah ada 300 ribu paket makanan bergizi.
“Di Kota Bitung, empat hari pelaksanaan uji coba ada 12 ribu paket. Dan hari ini diluncurkan 10 ribu paket makanan bergizi,” kata Budi.
