Pembukaan COP29, PLN Galang Kolaborasi Global untuk Transisi Energi Menuju Swasembada Energi Berkelanjutan

Manado, VivaSulut.com — PT PLN (Persero) menggalang kolaborasi dengan komunitas global dalam Conference of the Parties (COP) 29 yang digelar di Baku, Azerbaijan, pada 11-24 November 2024. Upaya ini searah dengan komitmen pemerintah Indonesia untuk menjalankan transisi energi menuju swasembada energi berkelanjutan.

Utusan Khusus Indonesia dalam COP 29, Hashim Djojohadikusumo menyatakan, di bawah kepemimpinan Presiden Prabowo Subianto, Indonesia berkomitmen penuh untuk menjalankan semua komitmen yang telah dibuat oleh Presiden-Presiden sebelumnya terkait program transisi energi selaras dengan upaya mitigasi perubahan iklim.

”Kami akan terus memenuhi komitmen-komitmen tersebut. Akan ada program baru yang ditawarkan oleh Presiden Prabowo dan pemerintahannya kepada dunia. Salah satunya adalah program penambahan pembangkit listrik sebesar 100 gigawatt yang akan diterapkan oleh pemerintah dalam 15 tahun ke depan, di mana 75% atau 75 gigawatt akan berasal dari energi baru terbarukan yang memerlukan investasi sebesar 235 Miliar USD,” ucap Hashim pada sambutannya sekaligus membuka Paviliun Indonesia di COP 29, Baku Azerbaijan, Senin (11/11/2024).

Selain itu kata Hashim, terdapat pula komitmen lain dalam upaya mereduksi emisi karbon lewat implementasi _Carbon Capture and Storage_. Pemerintah Indonesia dalam hal ini siap bekerja sama dengan perusahaan multinasional dan pihak lain yang berniat untuk berinvestasi di sektor tersebut.

”Kita diberkahi dengan jumlah besar saline aquifer di seluruh kepulauan, baik di darat maupun di lepas pantai, dan kami memperkirakan bahwa kami memiliki kapasitas penyimpanan karbon sebesar 500 gigaton,” lanjut Hashim.

Pemerintah Indonesia kata Hashim menyambut baik pihak internasional untuk berpartisipasi dalam mengatasi pemanasan global. Pasalnya kata Hashim dampak dari pemanasan global yang terjadi di Indonesia pada akhirnya juga akan dirasakan oleh masyarakat di seluruh belahan dunia.

“Kami akan memulai program ini, yang akan memakan waktu bertahun-tahun. Kami tidak bisa melakukannya dalam semalam. Ini akan membutuhkan pendanaan, teknologi, dan ilmu pengetahuan,” tambah Hashim.

Menteri Lingkungan Hidup, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq menambahkan lewat Paviliun Indonesia di COP 29, dirinya optimistis dapat menjadi wadah penting tidak hanya bagi Indonesia tapi seluruh dunia untuk berkolaborasi bersama dan menemukan solusi mitigasi iklim.

”Tema COP29 sangat selaras dengan tema kita di Paviliun Indonesia, yaitu Sustainability Stronger Together. Konsep ini menekankan keyakinan kita bahwa melalui kerja sama antarnegara, sektor, dan komunitas, kita dapat mencapai ambisi untuk menghadapi perubahan iklim,” tutur Faisol.

Faisol menuturkan, bahwa Paviliun Indonesia memiliki tiga tujuan utama yakni, sebagai representasi dari diplomasi Indonesia dalam memperkuat mitigasi iklim, mempromosikan program mitigasi iklim RI secara komprehensif, mengeksplorasi ide, kemitraan dan peluang baru untuk memperkuat ketahanan iklim tidak hanya bagi Indonesia tapi juga dunia.

Sementara itu, Menteri Kehutanan, Raja Juli Antoni menegaskan bahwa pertumbuhan ekonomi harus selaras dengan perlindungan lingkungan, khususnya kelestarian hutan. Ia mendorong semua stakeholder harus memainkan peran tersebut demi tercapainya pertumbuhan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan.

”Saya mendorong semua pihak untuk terlibat dalam mengatasi masalah kehutanan kita saat ini. Saya percaya bahwa kolaborasi adalah tanggung jawab kita semua, dan dengan kejelasan tujuan, kita dapat melindungi serta melestarikan hutan kita, dan menjadikan kehutanan sebagai sumber kemakmuran bagi generasi mendatang,” ucap Raja Juli.

Direktur Utama PLN, Darmawan Prasodjo, menegaskan komitmen PLN untuk mendukung penambahan pembangkit yang direncanakan oleh Pemerintah Indonesia dalam mencapai swasembada energi berkelanjutan. Dalam hal ini, PLN telah menyiapkan peta jalan serta terus meluaskan kolaborasi dengan mitra lokal dan global.

“Sebagai tulang punggung ketahanan energi nasional, PLN optimistis Indonesia dapat mencapai target ini dengan strategi peralihan menuju energi terbarukan dan pengembangan berkelanjutan yang terus-menerus,” ungkap Darmawan.

Untuk menyukseskan target pemerintah tersebut, PLN telah merancang Green Enabling Transmision Line untuk mengevakuasi listrik hijau dari sumber EBT yang mayoritas berada di wilayah terisolir. Membentang sepanjang 70 ribu kilometer, transmisi ini akan menghubungkan pulau-pulau di Indonesia dan mengevakuasi listrik bersih ke pusat permintaan di perkotaan.

Darmawan menambahkan, pihaknya terus meningkatkan kapasitas pembangkit listrik berasal dari EBT dan memanfaatkan seluruh potensi energi bersih yang saat ini dimiliki oleh Indonesia.

“PLN juga berkomitmen pada pengembangan infrastruktur pendukung, seperti transmisi listrik yang pintar, sistem kendali pintar, distribusi pintar, serta sistem penyimpanan energi baterai untuk mendukung pemanfaatan energi terbarukan,” jelasnya.

Darmawan juga menyampaikan bahwa PLN tidak dapat melakukannya dalam suasana kesendirian, melainkan diperlukan kolaborasi untuk mengatasinya. Oleh sebab itu, PLN selalu aktif dalam agenda-agenda penting tingkat global seperti COP 29 untuk meluaskan kolaborasi demi kesuksesan swasembada energi berkelanjutan.

“Diperlukan upaya konkret dari komunitas global, termasuk investasi berkelanjutan, transfer teknologi, dan kebijakan yang mendukung pengembangan energi terbarukan,” pungkas Darmawan.
