Julfikar Manihing Siswa SD dari Lembeh Wakili Bitung di Olimpiade Gasing

Tiga siswa SD saat bertolak mengikuti Olimpiade Gasing di Medan.(ist)

Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Julfikar Manihing, siswa SD Inpres 5/81 Binuang Kecamatan Lembeh Utara menjadi salah satu perwakilan Kota Bitung mengikuti olimpiade Gampang Asyik dan Menyenangkan (Gasing) tingkat nasional.

Gasing adalah proses belajar berhitung yang terapkan Wali Kota Bitung, Maurits Mantiri dan berhasil, terbukti dari Kota Bitung sudah beberapa kali mengutus siswanya mengikuti perlombaan tingkat nasional.

Kali ini, selain Julfikar dari Pulau Lembeh, ada juga dua siswa dari Kota Bitung yang menjadi utusan, yakni Delova Paschalitany Lombo siswa SD GMIM 1 Kota Bitung dan Darren Marchelino Eizel Andrianto siswa SD Katolik 4 Don Bosco Kota Bitung.

Wali Kota sendiri mengapresiasi ketiga siswa SD itu. Terutama Julfikar yang berasal dari Pulau Lembeh, mampu membuktikan jika sektor pendidikan di Kota Bitung sudah merata.

Salah satu parameternya, kata dia, adalah metode pembelajaran Gasing juga sampaik ke Pulau Lembeh, terbukti dengan kemampuan Julfikar menjadi salah satu perwakilan Kota Bitung di olimpiade Gasing tingkat nasional yang digelar di Hubang Hasudutan Medan.

“Kami selaku pemerintah bangga terhadap prestasi dari ketiga anak tersebut, sebab bisa lolos untuk ikut Olimpiade Gasing tingkat nasional utusan Kota Bitung. Lebih membanggakan lagi, ada perwakilan dari Pulau Lembeh,” kata Maurits, Rabu (6/11/2024).

Maurits juga menyampaikan, terpilihnya Julfikar bersama Delova dan Darren berdasarkan seleksi, kemudian merekalah yang dinyatakan lolos untuk ikut olimpiade Gasing di Humbang Hasudutan Medan.

“Semoga tiga anak-anak kita ini bisa tampil maksimal mengikuti olimpiade dan mari kita dukung dalam doa,” katanya.
