Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Pasangan calon (Paslon) Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota Bitung, Geraldi Mantiri-Erwin Wurangian mendapat amanah dari petani di Kecamatan Ranowulu jika nantinya terpilih di Pilkada 2024.
Amanah itu adalah program pertanian harus menjadi salah satu fokus Paslon Geraldi-Erwin jika nantinya terpilih dan tidak hanya fokus ke sektor lainnya seperti perikanan.
Hal itu disampaikan salah satu perwakilan petani di Kelurahan Duasudara, Dolvi Toar saat hadir di kampanye Geraldi-Erwin di wilayah Kecamatan Ranowulu.
“90% masyarakat Duasudara adalah petani kelapa. Kami titip ke Pak Geraldi dan Pak Erwin jika nanti terpilih agar memperhatikan sektor pertanian serta perkebunan,” kata Dolvi.
Mantan anggota DPR Fraksi TNI/Polri ini juga mengaku telah mengetahui apa yang menjadi visi-misi dan program Geraldi-Erwin dari pemberitaan media maupun disampaikan langsung oleh kedua Paslon.
“Saya hanya bilang, jangan ragu memilih Geraldi-Erwin karena visi-misi dan programnya realistis dengan kondisi masyarakat Kota Bitung,” katanya.
Paslon Geraldi-Erwin menggelar kampanye di empat lokasi di Kecamatan Ranowulu, yakni Kelurahan Apla Satu dan Dua, Kelurahan Duasaudara serta Kelurahan Pinasungkulan.
Seperti biasa, Geraldi-Erwin tampil berorasi secara bergantian menyampaikan visi-misi dan program. Diawali dengan Erwin yang mengajak masyarakat agar tidak Golput serta bijaksana dalam menentukan calon pemimpin.
Menurutnya, Golput bukan solusi atau pilihan, warga yang tidak menggunakan hak pilih maka ada kemungkinan kebijakan pemimpin yang dipilih bisa saja programnya tidak pro rakyat.
“Kami sendiri menyusun program beradasarkan hasil survei masyarakat. Hasilnya, ada empat yang menjadi keinginan masyarakat dari pemimpin baru yakni lapangan pekerjaan, pendidikan, kesehatan dan lingkungan,” kata Erwin.
Mengacu ke hasil survei itu, dirinya bersama Geraldi dan tim menawarkan solusi lewat program yang nantinya akan direalisasikan jika terpilih. Seperti lapangan pekerjaan, Geraldi-Erwin bakal membangkitkan industri pendidikan lewat pelatihan life skill agar tenaga kerja lokal tidak kalah bersaing dengan tenaga kerja luar saat perusahaan membutuhkan skil tertentu.
“Selain itu, yang perlu dibuat adalah mencari investor untuk berinvestasi di Kota Bitung serta menjembatani pelaku UMKM agar mendapat bantuan modal usaha dari bank,” katanya.
Geraldi sendiri dalam orasinya memohon bantuan kepada masyarakat untuk bersama-sama mewujudkan Kota Bitung lebih maju, serta menjaga Kamtibmas selama proses Pilkada.
“Jagalah kota ini agar tetap aman, tidak ada yang menginginkan kota ini kacau. Jangan hanya mendengar sepihak saja, cek dan tanyakan langsung ke sumbernya. Karena hoax jika dilakukan terus menerus akan dianggap sebagai kebenaran. Ini berbahaya seperti kemarin ada potongan video yang tidak utuh,” kata Geraldi.
“Bagi kami jika ada kampanye yang menggiring pembunuhan karakter itu sudah kami terima sebagai hal yang biasa. Tenang, mari kita jalani proses Pilkada ini dengan kegembiraan,” sambungnya.
Ia juga menyampaikan soal perbedaan antara dirinya dengan Erwin. Geraldi-Erwin tidak ingin melepas karakter, makanya dalam surat suara ada dua warna, yakni merah dan kuning.
“Walaupun dari partai yang berbeda, namun tetap satu. Kota ini multi etnis tapi tetap satu tanpa harus disamakan untuk seragam satu warna,” katanya.
