Pilkada Bitung 2024, Penyelenggara dan Aparat Diharapkan Tetap Berdiri di Tengah

Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Penyelenggara Pilkada dan aparat diharapkan benar-benar bersikap netral di Pilkada Kota Bitung 2024.

Harapan itu disampaikan Pasangan Calon (Paslon) Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota Bitung, Geraldi Mantiri-Erwin Wurangian saat menggelar kampanye di Kecamatan Madidir, Sabtu (2/11/2024).

Geraldi dalam orasinya menyampaikan, mereka yang menurut Undang-undang seharusnya berposisi netral dalam Pilkada 2024, agar tetap menjaga netralitasnya dengan tetap berdiri di tengah.

“Kami mengharapkan bagi mereka yang menurut Undang-undang seharusnya berdiri di tengah, tetaplah berdiri di tengah dan jangan melenceng ke kiri atau ke kanan,” kata Geraldi.

Dengan sikap tetap berdiri di tengah, kata dia, maka penyelanggara dan aparat telah memberikan contoh pendidikan politik kepada masyarakat, terutama anak muda Kota Bitung.

Makanya, di setiap kampanye, dirinya bersama Erwin dan tim selalu menyampaikan apa yang menjadi visi-misi serta program yang juga bagian dari pedidikan politik.

“Kami, Gerldi-Erwin ingin menang terhormat dan bermartabat di Pilkada Kota Bitung 2024 dan meminta kepada seluruh masyarakat untuk tetap menjaga kondusifitas, menghindari hoaks, bullying dan isu Sara yang akan mencemarkan pesta demokrasi,” katanya.

Sementara itu, Erwin menyampaikan soal pentingnya memilih pemimpin yang paham dan mengerti sistem pemerintahan.

“Bapak ibu sekalian, saya ingin sampaikan lagi bahwa kita jangan sampai salah pilih pemimpin, karena itu akan berdampak terhadap kehidupan kita selama lima tahun ke depan. Pilihlah pemimpin yang paham bagaimana mengelola pemerintahan, yang tahu meningkatkan pendapatan daerah, yang bisa melobi investor untuk berinvestasi di Kota Bitung,” kata Erwin.

Ia juga mentil salah satu program Geraldi-Erwin, yakni pendidikan bagi anak-anak usia sekolah di Kota Bitung lima tahu kedepan.

Tujuan fokus ke pendidikan, tak lain untuk bisa menciptakan calon pemimpin yang berkualitas.

“Sekolah gratis 12 tahun itu mulai SD sampai SMA sudah menjadi program wajib belajar secara nasional dan itu gratis sejak dulu. Nah, kami Geraldi-Erwin saat diberi amanah oleh masyarakat memimpin Kota Bitung adalah bagaimana memberikan kesempatan anak-anak kita untuk bisa melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang perguruan tinggi, mereka bisa kuliah dan menghasilkan generasi penerus yang nantinya melanjutkan estafet kepemimpinan di kota ini,” katanya.
