Geraldi – Erwin Disambut Tari Suku Togela di Lembeh Bitung

Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Pasangan calon (Paslon) Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota Bitung, Geraldi Mantiri-Erwin Wurangian dikejutkan dengan kelompok tari yang dibawakan ibu-ibu saat berkampanye di Kelurahan Lirang Kecamatan Lembeh Utara, Selasa (29/10/2024).

Kelompok tari ini tampil mengenakan kebaya berwarna merah dipadukan dengan sarung kain batik. Mereka menari-nari sambil melantunkan lagu menyambut kedatangan Paslon nomor urut 1 ini.

Rupanya, penari yang menyambut Geraldi-Erwin adalah keturunan Suku Togela Kabupaten Halmahera Utara Maluku Utara yang sudah turun temurun tinggal di Kelurahan Lirang. Mereka membawakan Tari Tide-tide, merupakan tari tradisional yang biasanya ditampilkan dalam acara adat, penyambutan, pernikahan dan lainnya.

Gerald-Erwin sendiri bangga dan merasa terhormat disambut dengan Tari Tide-tide olah warga Kelurahan Lirang. Keduanya bangga karena tarian itu masih tetap dipertahankan tanpa tergerus zaman.

“Ini salah satu bukti nyata jika Kota Bitung adah rumah bagi semua budaya. Kita bisa berbeda budaya, suku dan agama tapi tetap satu sebagai warga Kota Bitung,” kata keduanya.

Keduanyapun berjanji akan terus merawat dan melestarikan aneka budaya yang ada di Kota Bitung dengan mendorong anak-anak muda sebagai pelestari.

“Perbedaan bukan menjadi tembok atau jurang pemisah. Dipersatukan bukan berarti harus sama, karena perbedaan itu yang menyatukan Geraldi-Erwin,” katanya.

Sementara itu, Paslon nomor urut 1 ini tidak hanya menggelar kampanye di Kelurahan Lirang, tapi ada enam titik di Kecamatan Lembeh Utara.

Keberduanya bergantian menyampaikan ide pokok, gagasan yang tertuang dalam visi, misi dan program sebagai Paslon kepala daerah Kota Bitung.

Dalam agenda kampanye itu, Geraldi-Erwin meresmikan Posko pemenangan di Kelurahan Papusungan.
