Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Pasangan calon (Paslon) Wli Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota Bitung, Geraldi Mantiri-Erwin Wurangian unjuk kekuatan massa di Kelurahan Girian Permain Kecamatan Girian, Sabtu (26/10/2024).
Kampanye tingkat kecamatan ini dihadiri ratusan hingga ribuan massa pendukung.
Wakil Manajer Kampanye Geraldi-Erwin, Rizal Marcos Lumombo, mengaku tidak menyangka jumlah pendukung yang hadir di luar ekspektasi.
Karena menurutnya, dari perkiraan awal hanya menyiapkan 300 kursi sesuai yang tertera dalam Surat Tanda Terima Pemberitahuan (STTP).
“Tapi pendukung terus berdatangan makanya kita menambah jumlah kursi,” kata Rizal.
“Kita tambah sampai 1.000 kursi. Tapi walaupun sudah ditambah ternyata masih banyak juga yang tidak kebagian. Lihat sendiri kan tadi, banyak yang cuma berdiri,” sambungnya.
Geraldi sendiri menyampaikan terima kasih ke pendukung yang hadir. Mereka menganggap jumlah massa yang membludak menjadi bukti kecintaan para pendukung terhadap mereka berdua.
“Dan tentu saja ini menjadi penyemangat bagi saya dan Pak Erwin untuk terus berjuang bersama-sama dengan seluruh pendukung,” kata Geraldi.
Hal senada disampaikan Erwin. Ia mengapresiasi antusiasme para pendukung yang hadir dalam kampanye itu. Ia pun mengaku semakin optimis dalam menghadapi pertarungan di Pilkada ini.
“Terima kasih untuk semua. Selain menambah semangat kami, ini saya anggap sebagai tanda-tanda kemenangan bagi GM-Win,” kata Erwin.
Pun demikian, baik Geraldi maupun Erwin meminta para pendukung tidak berpuas diri. Keduanya berharap mereka tetap solid dan terus bekerja untuk menarik simpati masyarakat. Para pendukung diminta terus merangkul dan memperkuat dukungan yang sudah ada.
