Kawal Tahapan Pilkada, Komisoner Bawaslu Sulut Awasi Debat Publik Kedua Pilgub 2024

 

Manado, VivaSulut.com – Menyukseskan helatan Pilkada 2024 di Bumi Nyiur Melambai, jadi target utama Badan Pengawas Pemilihan Umum (Bawaslu) Suluawesi Utara (Sulut) dengan mengawal seluruh rangkaian tahapan Pilkada.

Teranyar, jajaran Komisioner Bawaslu Sulut turunmengawasi langsung debat publik kedua pemilihan Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur yang di gelar oleh KPU Provinsi Sulut dipusatkan di gedung Wale Ne Tou Tondano, Kabupaten Minahasa yang membahas sejumlah topik, Rabu (23/10/2024).

Tak tanggung-tanggung tiga personil pimpinan Bawaslu Sulut turut hadir melakukan pengawasan jalannya debat kedua Pilkada Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur tersebut. Diantarannya, Erwin Sumampouw, Donny Rumagit dan Steffen Linu.

Kegiatan debat publik yang diikuti ketiga pasangan calon yakni nomor urut 1 Yulius Selvanus Komaling-Viktor Mailangkay, nomor urut 2 Elly E Lasut-Hanny J Pajouw dan nomor urut 3 Steven OE Kandouw-Denny Tuejeh.

Anggota Bawaslu Sulut Erwin Sumampouw mengatakan, pertama-tama pihaknya mengapresiasi KPU Sulut yang telah menyelenggarakan hingga debat kedua di Tondano ini. Kata dia jika dilihat dari persiapan yang ada semuanya sudah sesuai dengan prosedur yang ada. Mulai dari paslon dan para pihak terkait yang dibolehkan hadir dapat diatur dengan baik oleh KPU.

“Poin pertama yang diawasi adalah kepatuhan terhadap aturan kampanye, terutama dalam hal etika penyampaian pendapat. Kandidat diharapkan tidak menyerang pribadi lawan secara berlebihan, serta menghindari penyebaran hoaks dan ujaran kebencian,”ujar mantan Anggota Bawaslu Kabupaten Minahasa itu.

Lanjut Sumampouw, yang perlu diawasi pada debat ini adalah netralitas panitia dan moderator. Bawaslu memastikan bahwa panitia penyelenggara dan moderator debat bersikap netral serta tidak memihak pada salah satu kandidat. Kemudian penggunaan fasilitas negara. Bawaslu akan memastikan bahwa tidak ada kandidat, khususnya yang berstatus petahana, yang menggunakan fasilitas negara selama proses debat berlangsung.

“Paling penting juga adalah pembagian waktu yang adil. Bawaslu akan mengawasi bahwa setiap kandidat mendapatkan kesempatan berbicara yang sama, sesuai aturan yang telah ditetapkan oleh penyelenggara debat,”sambungnya. (man/adv)
