Manado, VivaSulut.com – Kisah siswi SMKN 3 Semarang, Naomi Daviola yang sempat hilang karena tersesat saat mendaki gunung di Gunung Slamet pada Sabtu pekan lalu sempat membetot perhatian.

Kala itu, Naomi yang ikut rombongan open trip untuk mendaki gunung di Jawa Tengah itu kemudian berhasil ditemukan dalam kondisi selamat, lalu dievakuasi tim SAR pada Selasa 8 Oktober 2024.

Kegiatan mendaki gunung kian populer sebagai aktivitas yang digemari banyak orang. Selain menawarkan pengalaman yang menantang.

Jalur pendakian gunung yang banyak rintangan menjadi hal yang dikhawatirkan bagi pada pendaki pemula.

Dilansir dari travel.tempo.co, berikut ini 9 tips mendaki gunung bagi pemula:

1. Persiapan yang Matang adalah Kunci Keselamatan
Sebelum memulai pendakian, penting sekali untuk mempersiapkan diri secara fisik, mental, dan logistik. Tanpa persiapan yang memadai, risiko cedera, kelelahan, atau tersesat bisa meningkat.

Beberapa langkah penting yang harus dilakukan sebelum mendaki seperti latihan fisik, riset tentang gunung, packing peralatan. Pastikan membawa perlengkapan yang sesuai, termasuk pakaian hangat, sepatu gunung, tas carrier tahan air, peta, kompas, senter, kotak P3K, serta cukup makanan dan air.

2. Pilih Jalur Pendakian yang Cocok untuk Pemula
Sebagai pemula, sangat penting untuk memilih jalur pendakian yang sesuai dengan kemampuan fisik. Hindari jalur yang terlalu sulit, terutama jika belum memiliki pengalaman. Saat memilih jalur, perhatikan jaraknya, tingkat kesulitan medan, dan pos-pos peristirahatan. Cari informasi dari buku panduan, blog, atau bertanya kepada pendaki berpengalaman untuk mendapatkan panduan yang tepat.

3. Perhatikan Kondisi Cuaca
Cuaca sangat mempengaruhi keselamatan pendakian. Pastikan untuk memantau prakiraan cuaca sebelum berangkat dan selama pendakian. Jika cuaca buruk, sebaiknya pertimbangkan untuk menunda perjalanan.

Cuaca ekstrem seperti hujan deras atau angin kencang bisa membahayakan. Kondisi basah yang tidak diantisipasi dengan baik, misalnya pakaian yang basah karena hujan, bisa menyebabkan hipotermia. Jadi, pastikan untuk membawa pakaian yang cepat kering dan mencari tempat berlindung yang aman saat cuaca buruk.

4. Selalu Perhatikan Langkah Kaki
Selama pendakian, selalu perhatikan langkah kaki Anda. Risiko terkilir atau terpeleset sangat tinggi jika tidak berhati-hati. Jalur yang licin, bebatuan tajam, atau akar pohon bisa menjadi tantangan tersendiri. Jangan terburu-buru, terutama saat merasa lelah atau saat sedang berbicara dengan teman. Jika merasa lelah, berhentilah sejenak dan istirahat agar tubuh tetap bugar.

5. Jangan Ragu untuk Istirahat
Mendaki gunung membutuhkan stamina yang kuat, tetapi penting juga untuk tidak terlalu memaksakan diri. Jika terlalu lelah, fokus dan koordinasi tubuh bisa menurun, yang berpotensi menyebabkan kecelakaan.

Dengarkan sinyal dari tubuh. Jika merasa lelah, segera berhenti dan istirahat untuk memulihkan tenaga. Istirahat yang cukup akan membantu menjaga stamina dan keamanan selama perjalanan.

6. Tetap Bersama Kelompok
Pendakian solo sangat tidak dianjurkan, terutama untuk pemula. Selalu ajak teman atau pendamping yang lebih berpengalaman untuk menemani pendakian. Jika memungkinkan, ajak juga seorang guide lokal yang mengenal jalur dengan baik.

Saat mendaki bersama kelompok, pastikan untuk tidak terpisah. Komunikasi yang baik dan menjaga kebersamaan selama pendakian akan meminimalkan risiko tersesat dan memudahkan bantuan jika terjadi masalah.

7. Pelajari Pertolongan Pertama Dasar
Pengetahuan tentang pertolongan pertama sangat penting dalam mendaki gunung. Bawalah kotak P3K yang berisi antiseptik, perban, plester, obat-obatan dasar, dan peralatan pertolongan lainnya. Pastikan juga Anda tahu cara menggunakannya. Persiapan ini sangat membantu jika terjadi kecelakaan kecil seperti luka lecet, terkilir, atau gigitan serangga.

8. Tetap Waspada
Selalu utamakan keselamatan selama pendakian. Hindari tindakan nekat seperti memanjat tebing tanpa perlengkapan yang memadai atau berenang di sungai dengan arus deras. Bahaya di alam liar bisa datang kapan saja, jadi tetap waspada terhadap cuaca buruk, satwa liar, atau kemungkinan longsor.

Gunakan peralatan mountaineering yang sesuai, seperti sepatu gunung, tas waterproof, pakaian berlapis, peta, dan kompas. Jika medan terlalu curam atau licin, gunakan trekking pole untuk membantu menjaga keseimbangan.

9. Beritahu Orang Lain tentang Rencana Pendakian
Sebelum memulai pendakian, beritahukan rencana Anda kepada teman, keluarga, atau pihak berwenang. Informasikan jalur yang akan ditempuh, perkiraan waktu, dan siapa saja anggota kelompok mendaki gunung itu. Hal ini akan memudahkan pencarian jika terjadi keadaan darurat.
