Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Ratusan paket bahan makanan dibagikan PT Meratus Cabang Bitung ke warga Kelurahan Wangurer Kecamatan Madidir, Jumat (4/10/2024).
Paket itu adalah program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) sekaligus dirangkaikan dengan perayaan HUT ke-67 PT Meratus.
Ada 150 paket bahan makanan yang disalurkan di Kantor Kelurahan Wangurer Barat oleh Kepala Cabang PT Meratus Bitung, Dennis Hutani didampingi Kepala Bagian Sumber Daya Alam (SDA) Setda Kota Bitung, Hendry Adrian Tangkudung.
Menurut Dennis, paket CSR merupakan bentuk kepedulian PT Meratus untuk berbagi kebahagiaan kepada masyarakat sekitar.
Mengingat, kata dia, masih banyak masyarakat yang membutuhkan uluran tangan untuk meringankan beban kebutuhan sehari-hari.
“Kami berharap bantuan seperti ini terus diberikan di masa mendatang. Baik bantuan serupa maupun bentuk kepedulian lainnya serta dapat menjadi bentuk hubungan harmonis antara masyarakat dan perusahaan,” kata Dennis.
Aksi sosial perusahaan bergerak di sektor integrator maritim dan logistik ini, diapresiasi Hendry. Ia menyampaikan terima kasih kepada PT Meratus cag Bitung yang telah bersama-sama dengan Pemkot membantu masyarakat lewat CSR.
“Atas nama Pemkot Bitung, kami mengucapkan terima kasih kepada PT Meratus. Dan ini menjadi contoh bagi pelaku usaha lainnya membantu masyarakat,” katanya.
