Manado Tergenang Usai Diguyur Hujan Lebat, Wali Kota Clay Dondokambey Mohon Topangan Doa

Manado, VivaSulut.com – Guyuran hujan deras di Kota Manado, Selasa (1/10/2024) membuat sejumlah titik di ibukota tergenang air.

Adapun sejumlah daerah tergenang air yaitu di antaranya ruas jalan Bahu di depan freshmart, beberapa titik di daerah Sario dan Malalayang di daerah Kampus Unsrat Manado bahkan ada beberapa sekolah juga terdampak hujan lebat sore tadi.

Kepada media, Pjs. Wali Kota Manado, Clay Dondokambey mengungkap bahwa laporan kondisi wilayah terus terpantau dan dilaporkan jajaran Pemerintah Kota Manado secara berkala, bahkan aparat langsung turun di titik – titik terpantau adanya genangan air.

“Karena ada peringatan dini dari BMKG yang disampaikan Kepala BPBD Kota Manado, kami langsung menginstruksikan jajaran terkait untuk segera turun lapangan, terutama para camat dan lurah sampai kepala lingkungan untuk meng-update informasi wilayah masing-masing yang terdampak hujan lebat sampai terjadinya genangan air. Mohon topangan doa dari masyarakat,” ujar Pjs Wali Kota Manado, Clay Dondokambey, ditemui Selasa (1/101/2024).

Clay kemudian bisa sedikit bernapas karena hujan yang deras hanya terjadi.

“Bersyukur karena akhirnya hujan cepat redah sehingga genangan air di beberapa titik pun segera surut. Daerah paling terdampak adalah daerah Kecamatan Sario dan Kecamatan Malalayang, beberapa titik tergenang air sampai di lutut orang dewasa,” ujarnya.

Khusus di area Unsrat sendiri akan dibicarakan dengan pihak rektorat untuk langka mitigasi dan rehabilitasi; demikian disampaikan Pjs. Wali Kota yang turut dibenarkan Sekda Kota Manado Micler Lakat.

Lagi tambah Micler, saat ini beberapa titik rawan genangan dan rawan banjir seperti daerah Manado bagian Utara, Paal 2 dan Tikala terpantau minim dampak dari hujan lebat.

“Kami yakin ada hasil positif dari upaya dan usaha Pemkot Manado selama ini untuk memitigasi dan meminimalisir dampak hujan yang dapat mengakibatkan banjir di Kota Manado. Karenanya kami pun butuh dukungan semua pihak termasuk masyarakat untuk membantu, wujudnya dengan menjaga kebersihan lingkungan dan jangan membuang sembarangan apalagi di got atau saluran air,” ujarnya.

Sementara itu, hingga Selasa malam Pjs Clay Dondokambey terus melakukan monitoring bersama jajaran Pemkot Manado.

Unsur dinas perhubungan bekerjasama dengan polisi lalu lintas juga terpantau mengurai kemacetan kendaraan di beberapa ruas jalan utama di Kota Manado.

Sementara untuk penanganan pohon tumbang langsung ditindaklanjuti unsur BPBD Kota Manado bersama unsur terkait.

Friska Putrima, warga Paal 2  mengapresiasi kerja Pemkot Manado di bawah Kepemimpinan Wali Kota Andrei Angouw dan Wakil Wali Kota dr. Richard Sualang yang berkomitmen untuk mengurangi dampak banjir yang menjadi momok bagi masyarakat Kota Manado.

“Saat ini banyak lokasi yang sering terjadi banjir saat hujan lebat mulai berkurang dampaknya, semoga kedepan juga lebih baik,” ungkap Friska.
