Geraldi Mantiri Mengaku Kaget Saat Baca Teks Proklamasi di Upacara HUT ke-79 RI Bitung

Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Pimpinan DPRD Kota Bitung Sementara, Geraldi Mantiri mengaku sempat kaget saat membaca teks Proklamasi dalam upacara Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) ke-79 RI di Lapangan Kantor Wali Kota Bitung, Sabtu (17/8/2024).

Geraldi tidak menyangka jika salinan teks Proklamasi yang akan dibacakan masih sama dengan teks asli, yakni menggunakan ejaan lama.

“Sempat kaget karena teksnya mengikuti teks asli menggunakan ejaan lama,” kata Geraldi sambil tertawa.

Beruntung kata dia, saat duduk di bangku sekolah, teks Proklamasi adalah salah satu materi pelajaran yang harus dihafal seperti Undang-undang Dasar 45 dan Pancasila, sehingga masih ingat kendati mengunakan ejaan lama.

Demikian pula, kader PDI Perjuangan Kota Bitung ini mengaku bangga diberi kesempatan untuk ikut ambil bagain dalam upacara kemerdekaan ke-79 RI dengan bertugas membacakan teks Proklamasi.

Apalagi, teks yang ia bacakan memiliki nilai sakral dan menjadi penanda kemerdekaan Indonesia dari penjajah.

“Perasaan campur aduk, karena teks yang saya bacakan adalah teks yang dibacakan Bung Karno didampingi Bung Hatta bersama tokoh pejuang saat memproklamirkan kemerdekaan negeri ini,” katanya.

Dirinya juga berharap momentum kemerdekaan ke-79, bisa dimaknai untuk terus menjaga dan meneruskan cita-cita bangsa Indonesia.

“Saya yakin dan percaya dengan semangat kebersamaan kita, Indonesia akan lebih jaya Indonesia akan lebih kuat, sesuai dengan cita-cita para pejuang kita yang telah menyumbangkan jiwa dan mengorbankan semuanya untuk Indonesia,” katanya.
