Jeirry Sumampow Dukung Putusan DKPP Berhentikan Ketua KPU RI Hasyim Asy’ari

Manado, VivaSulut.com – Dewan Kehormatan Penyelenggara Pemilu (DKPP) memberhentikan Ketua KPU RI, Hasyim Asy’ari, sebagai Komisioner KPU RI, karena terbukti melanggar etik terkait perbuatan asusila dalam sidang putusan, Rabu (3/7/1024).

Putusan tersebut mendapat dukungan dari berbagai pihak, salah satunya Koordinator Komite Pemilih Indonesia, Jeirry Sumampouw.

Dalam keterangan pers ke redaksi VivaSulut.com, Jeirry Sumampouw menyebutkan bahwa putusan ini memang sudah ditunggu banyak orang.

Sebab semestinya pemberhentian Ketua KPU RI tersebut sudah dilakukan dalam dalam kasus asusila sebelumnya.

“Meski agak terlambat, putusan DKPP ini sudah tepat agar tak jatuh korban lagi ke depan,” ujarnya.

Lanjut Jeirry Sumampouw, integritas KPU sebagai lembaga terhormat memang perlu dijaga dalam rangka pelaksanaan Pilkada Serentak 2024 yang sedang berlangsung.

Ia berpendapat, paling tidak putusan DKPP ini bisa membuat publik sedikit lega.

Sebab kasus seperti ini bisa dijadikan bahan untuk menyandera KPU untuk tidak netral dan tidak independen dalam Pilkada Serentak 2024 ini.

“Dulu publik banyak curiga, persoalan persoalan etik yang menimpa Ketua KPU dijadikan alat untuk mengatur KPU mengikuti kemauan pihak yang berkepentingan terhadap Pemilu. Kuat dugaan bahwa ketidaknetralan dan ketidak profesional KPU dalam Pemilu lalu disebabkan oleh hal seperti itu. Jadi KPU dipaksa dan ‘terpaksa’ mengikuti kemauan pihak yang berkepentingan sebab jika tidak maka kasus-kasus etiknya bisa diangkat dan diperkarakan,” timpalnya.

Namun demikian, Jeirry Sumampouw menyebutkan bahwa putusan pemberhentian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa KPU memang memiliki persoalan internal yang akut.

Pasalnya, banyak kebijakan yang aneh dan tak sesuai dengan nilai, prinsip dan norma pemilu yang baik dan benar.

KPU seolah abai dengan banyak substansi berpemilu yang baik dan benar.

Banyaknya masalah dan kontroversi yang muncul terkait dengan KPU dalam menjalankan tahapan Pemilu sebelumnya dan Pilkada kini agaknya sedikit banyak dipengaruhi oleh perilaku perilaku yang tak terpuji, yang selama ini memang tak terungkap ke publik.

Sebab KPU dibuat tak fokus dalam menjalankan tahapan dan proses Pemilu secara serius dan substansial.
