Secretary General UCLG ASPAC, Bernadia Irawati Tjandra Dewi secara khusus menyampaikan apresiasi yang tinggi kepada Pemerintah Kabupaten Minahasa Utara atas penyelenggaraan UCLG ASPAC 2024.
“Exbu Meeting dan Likupang Tourism Festival berlangsung dengan sukses besar. Acara ini tidak hanya meninggalkan kesan mendalam, tetapi juga menunjukkan kemampuan Kabupaten Minahasa Utara dalam menghadirkan sebuah panggung internasional yang membanggakan,” ujar Bernadia, Sabtu (8/6/2024).
Dikatakan Bernadia, meski dihadapkan pada berbagai keterbatasan, Kabupaten Minahasa Utara berhasil menampilkan kekuatan yang dimiliki mulai dari keindahan alam yang mempesona, keramahan penduduk lokal, kearifan budaya, hingga sajian kuliner khas yang lezat, seperti makanan laut, pisang goroho, dan sambal roa yang menjadi ciri khas daerah ini.
“Keberhasilan ini tentunya tidak lepas dari kepemimpinan yang visioner dan komitmen yang kuat dari Bapak Joune Ganda, Bupati Minahasa Utara. Penghargaan yang sama juga saya sampaikan kepada Wakil Bupati, Forum Koordinasi Pimpinan Daerah (Forkopimda) Kabupaten Minahasa Utara, serta seluruh elemen pemerintahan daerah, termasuk Sekretaris Daerah, para Kepala Dinas, Kepala Bagian Pemerintahan, Camat, Lurah dan Hukum Tua,” tambah Bernadia.
Secara khusus Bernadia mewakili para anggota UCLG ASPAC juga berterima kasih atas dukungan Pemerintah Provinsi Sulawesi Utara dan kehadiran Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Sandiaga Uno sehingga menjadikan acara UCLG ASPAC semakin istimewa.

“Ini merupakan sebuah kehormatan karena Asia Tenggara hanya menempatkan 6 perwakilan saja yang dapat menjadi anggota Executive Bureau UCLG ASPAC. Sementara itu, ada 10 nominasi yang telah diusulkan dan lewat proses pemilihan, akhirnya Kabupaten Minahasa Utara bisa dipilih menjadi anggota tersebut,” terang Joune Ganda.
Saat itu, Minahasa Utara kemudian ditetapkan sebagai tuan rumah pelaksanaan meeting Asia Pasifik pada tahun 2024.
“Ini sebuah kebanggaan dan kesempatan emas karena butuh puluhan tahun lagi sehingga Minahasa Utara bisa terpilih kembali menjadi tuan rumah,” ujar Joune Ganda seraya mengucapkan terima kasih kepada seluruh masyarakat atas suksesnya pelaksanaan UCLG ASPAC tahun 2024.
