Tanah lapang di kompleks pekuburan warga dijadikan lokasi kegiatan oleh KPU Minut.

Minut, VivaSulut.com – Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) memulai satu per satu tahapan Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) 2024.

Uniknya, pada peluncuran jingle dan maskot Pilkada Minut, KPU Minut memilih lokasi lahan pekuburan di Jalan Ir Soekarno, Airmadidi.

Menurutnya, KPU Minut tidak menemukan lapangan lain di Airmadidi yang cukup menampung ribuan masyarakat.

“Lapangan di ibukota Airmadidi selain itu dimana? Yang bisa menampung ratusan ribuan orang,” ujar Rizky.

Untuk mengurangi kesan ‘horor’, KPU memasang panggung untuk menutupi kuburan warga.

Namun demikian, pantauan di lokasi kegiatan, bangunan-bangunan kuburan warga masih sangat terlihat, bahkan dari depan jalan raya.

Sementara, di hari pertama kegiatan, Minggu (9/6/2024), lokasi kegiatan sepi dari kunjungan masyarakat disebabkan cuaca hujan.
