Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Sosok Maxmiliaan Jonas Lomban atau Max Lomban dikabarkan menjadi calon kuat mendapatkan rekomendasi dari DPP Partai NasDem untuk Pilkada Kota Bitung 2024.

Dari sejumlah nama calon yang disodorkan DPD Partai NasDem Kota Bitung dan DPW Partai NasDem Provinsi Sulawesi Utara, sosok mantan Wali Kota Bitung ini dianggap paling potensial untuk kembali dicalonkan di Pilkada kota Bitung 2024.

Informasi itu didapatkan sejumlah media saat coba mengkonfirmasi ke salah satu pengurus DPP Partai NasDem soal siapa calon yang bakal dijagokan di Pilkada Kota Bitung.

“Nama Pak Max Lomban yang menguat dan sementara dipersiapkan untuk maju di Pilkada Kota Bitung,” kata sumber di internal Partai NasDem, Jumat (31/5/2024).

Menurutnya, sosok Max Lomban jauh lebih unggul dibandingkan sejumlah nama yang disodorkan DPD dan DPW. Baik dari segi pengalaman dan pularitas, Max Lomban dianggap jauh lebih unggul dibandingkan calon lainnya.

“Nama beliau juga sudah tidak asing bagi kami di internal DPP, makanya sangat lumrah jika nantinya Pak Max Lomban yang dapat rekom untuk Pilkada Kota Bitung,” katanya.

Malah kata dia, Max Lomban sudah beberapa kali bertandang ke DPP terkait mendapatkan rekomendasi Pilkada di Sulawesi Utara, khususnya di Kota Bitung.

“DPP dalam menerbitkan rekomendasi Pilkada tentu melalui sejumlah kajian dan semua kajian-kajian itu dipenuhi Pak Max Lomban sebagai figur yang layak untuk mendapatkan rekomendasi,” katanya.

Ketua DPW Partai NasDem Sulawesi Utara, Victor Mailangkay sendiri mengaku belum tahu soal siapa yang bakal direkomendasikan DPP untuk dicalonkan di Pilkada Kota Bitung. Termasuk kabar soal sosok Max Lomban menguat untuk mendapatkan rekomendasi dari DPP.

“Saya belum dengar info itu (rekome DPP untuk Max Lomban, red),” kata Victor via WhastApp.

Pun demikian, ada tiga nama kader Partai NasDem yang diusulkan DPD dan DPW untuk maju di Pilkada Kota Bitung. Ketiga nama itu adalah Max Lomban, Ramlan Ifran dan Keegan Kojoh.

Ketiga nama itu kata Victor beberapa waktu lalu memang dikenal sebagai figur terbaik serta sangat layak jika nantinya dicalonkan, tapi semua harus melewati mekanesmi partai.

“Untuk Pilkada, kami ada mekanisme yang harus dilalui. Mulai dari pendaftaran dan survei, itu harus melewati semua figur yang nantinya akan direkomendasikan untuk ikut Pilkada,” kata Victor, Jumat (5/4/2024) lalu.

Adapun sosok Max Lomban sendiri tidak asing lagi karena pernah menjabat sebagai Wakil Wali Kota Bitung 2011-2016, Wali Kota Bitung 2016-2021.

Ia juga pernah menduduki jabatan Sekretaris Kota Bitung, menjadi Ketua DPW Partai NasDem Sulawesi Utara dan Ketua Dewan Pertimbangan NasDem Sulut.
