Minsel, VivaSulut.com – Sukacita HUT ke-179 jemaat GMIM Efata, Rumoong Bawah, Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan, semakin lengkap dengan kehadiran Wakil Gubernur Sulawesi Utara, Steven Kandouw.
Ia hadir dalam ibadah syukur, Sabtu (18/5/2024), sekaligus memberikan hadiah dalam bentuk bantuan rumah ibadah sebesar Rp25 juta.
Dalam sambutannya Wagub Kandouw mengajak jemaat untuk menjadi teladan dan contoh bagi jemaat lain.
“Tidak berhenti memperbaiki diri dan meng-upgrade diri,” ucap dia.
Menurutnya di usia 179 tahun, bukan hanya bangunan fisik yang menjadi perhatian tapi bagaimana damai sejahtera dan cinta kasih terus tumbuh di tengah persekutuan.
Di dalamnya menjaga hubungan baik antara Pendeta dan Pelayan Khusus serta jemaat.
Pada kesempatan ini Steven Kandouw juga menekankan bagaimana GMIM yang tersebar di 7 Kabupaten/Kota di Sulut untuk menjaga kekompakan guna eksistensi GMIM di berbagai aspek kehidupan.
Lebih lanjut Kandouw juga mengingatkan tentang beberapa hal penting yang perlu menjadi perhatian. Di antaranya kuantitas dan kualitas jemaat, pentingnya pendidikan untuk peningkatan SDM, serta literasi ekonomi.
Dalam sukacita ini, dirinya pun berbaur dengan segenap jemaat. Warga yang hadir pun tak lupa mengabadikan momen lewat foto bersama.
Turut hadir Ketua BPMS GMIM, Pdt Hein Arina, Bupati Minahasa Selatan, Franky Wongkar dan undangan lainnya.
