Bitung, VivaSulut.com – Kehadiran Ketua TP PKK Kota Bitung, Ny Rita Mantiri Tangkudung selalu dinantikan puluhan anak-anak penyintas Gunung Ruang di Asrama BLK Kota Bitung.

Sosok Bunda PAUD Kota Bitung ini selalu dinantikan karena kehadirannya selalu membawa keceriaan puluhan anak-anak.

Rita setiap berkunjung, langsung mengajak anak-anak bermain kemudian membagikan makanan ringan. Tak hanya itu, istri tercinta Wali Kota Bitung, Maurits Mantiri ini juga mengajak anak-anak untuk rekreasi di tempat-tempat permainan.

Menurutnya, tindakan itu dilakukan sebagai bentuk perhatian serius terhadap mental anak-anak pasca bencana letusan Gunung Ruang di Sitaro.

Dia mengatakan, peristiwa traumatik seperti bencana alam membuat para korban rentan terkena stres.

“Pemulihan trauma (trauma healing) sangat dibutuhkan para penyalin, terutama anak-anak,” kata Rita, Jumat (10/4/2024).

Dengan mengajak bermain setiap hari, kata Rita, diharapkan anak-anak bisa melupakan bencana yang mereka alami hingga harus mengungsi sementara ke Kota Bitung.

Mengajak anak-anak untuk beraktivitas fisik, menurutnya, bertujuan agar dapat membakar adrenalin, melepaskan endorfin yang meningkatkan suasana hati, dan membantu anak-anak ini tidur lebih nyenyak di malam hari.

“Kami mengupayakan Asrama BLK yang menjadi tempat penampungan sementara senyaman mungkin layaknya mereka berada di rumah sendiri. Makanya setiap hari perlu hiburan dan kesibukan bagi anak-anak agar cepat pulih,” katanya.

Dirinya juga mengapresiasi jajaran Pemerintah Kota Bitung yang begitu tanggap menangani para penyunting serta bersama-sama berupaya menyembuhkan trauma pascabencana alam.

“Kerja kolaborasi sangat nyata kami lihat dalam penanganan penyintas erupsi Gunung Ruang di Kota Bitung,” katanya.

Sementara itu, dari data Dinas Sosial Kota Bitung, per 8 Mei 2024, ada 125 jiwa penyintas yang berada di Asrama BLK Kota Bitung.

Jumlah itu kata Kepala Dinas Sosial Kota Bitung. Laddy Ambat, terdiri dari perempuan 68 orang, laki-laki 57 orang, anak-anak 39 orang, ibu hamil 2 orang dan bayi 4 orang.

“Semua fasilitas kami siapkan, baik itu makanan hingga pemeriksaan kesehatan rutin terhadap para penyenitas,” kata Laddy.
